BREAKING NEWS: Connecticut Secretary of State Reverses Ruling Targeting WWE Fans
WrestlingNewsSource.com has just received the news that after filing a lawsuit against Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz on the grounds of censorship and discrimination regarding her ruling that local poll workers on Election Day were to tell anyone wearing any WWE merchandise to cover it up, remove it, or go home and change before they would be allowed to vote, Vince McMahon has informed WWE fans via WWE.com that Bysiewicz has REVERSED the ruling that she made last week. Bysiewicz has also informed local poll workers and town clerks via email to NOT turn away ANY registered voters in Connecticut on Election Day who may be wearing any WWE merchandise.
Below is what Mr. McMahon had to say when he broke the news...
"The moment Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz issued an un-American, unconstitutional and discriminatory directive prohibiting voters from wearing WWE merchandise at the polls, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal should have immediately stepped in to enforce the law. As a result of the Attorney General’s inaction, I brought suit to enforce these basic, fundamental constitutional rights. Within hours of filing the lawsuit, Blumenthal recused himself, and Bysiewicz reversed her position and immediately notified all Local Registrar of Voters and Town Clerks via email. I am pleased that Connecticut voters have had their freedom of expression and their right to vote restored." |
