Very familiar with being the center of attention inside the squared circle, Mike Tyson is ready to return to the ring. Unlike old times, however, the former heavyweight championship boxer will not be slipping on the gloves and delivering knockout punches (maybe). He will, on the other hand, be delegating responsibility to WWE Superstars as Monday Night Raw’s special guest host on Jan. 11 from Minneapolis.

The self-proclaimed “Baddest Man on the Planet” has never been one to hide his feelings or shy away from the spotlight. One of the most newsworthy and notorious sports celebrities in American history, Tyson will surely be prepared for all challenges on Raw.

This, nevertheless, will not be the first time “Iron Mike” has been seen in a WWE ring. Tyson served as a special outside enforcer at WrestleMania XIV for the WWE Championship Match between “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. Despite there being bad blood initially between The Texas Rattlesnake and the honorary DX member, Tyson, the boxing legend ultimately helped Austin capture the WWE Title when he jumped in to supply the quick three-count. Tyson is featured in the Sony Pictures Classics documentary, TYSON, now available on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Other notable boxers to have hosted Raw include Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Ricky Hatton.

Be sure to tune in to Raw for this extraordinary occasion on Jan. 11 at 9/8 CT. It will be a guaranteed knockout for the WWE Universe to see.

Io spero che sta' cosa del Guest host finisca con Wrestlemania, dopo il PPV ci devono mettere un GM fisso, tipo Bret Hart o ancora meglio Million Dollar Man o Dusty Rodes, come gia' si vociferava l'anno scorso.

Figata.
Il problema di Raw non è la presenza dei Guest Host al posto dei Gm.
Il fatto è che si rinuncia alla creazione di show ottimi,lasciando tutto l'onere dell'interesse alla star di turno.
Mi spiego meglio si è scelta la filosofia del massimo risultato col minor sforzo....gli ascolti di Raw sono stabili da mesi,sono cmq buoni ratings nonostante il prodotto faccia cacare,questo perche?perche ogni settimana abbiamo star famose presenti che dolente o nolente attirano spettatori.
La presenza di un General Manager non è conseguenza di show migliori se dietro non vi è un senso a dare in mano lo show a un Gm...qualunque esso sia.
Se si mette un Gm ma le idee sono ferme dove si va?da nessuna parte se non alla classica faida Uomo di potere vs Wrestler ribelle...come si stava cercando di fare con l'ultimo Gm sensato William Regal vs Kennedy,ma non è che li cmq Raw brillasse per bonta' qualitativa.
L'unico grande vero General Manager di Raw fu Eric Bishoff ma attorno a lui c'era uno show coi controcazzi.
Prendete oggi Smackodown che è leggermente piu godibile di Raw,dove sta il merito di Long in tutto questo?Secondo me da nessuna parte,non è che l'andar contro Batista o il fregare Taker siano sintomo di innovazione o di qualita' semplicemente lo si cerca di rendere protagonista.
Io faccio parte del partito che rivuole Un IdEA e un Senso a Raw...un filo conduttore tra le puntate,dove i wrestler interagiscono tra loro con o senza un General Manager purche ci sia un senso in tutto cio.
