SPARKLE Dark Matches
A) Knight Wagner def. ??? and ??? in a three-way match
B) Nicole Matthews def. Skill Death Artist #2
C) Sassy Stephie & Kacey Diamond def. Kimberly Kash & ???
Taped for SHIMMER Volume 27
1) Malia Hosaka def. Tenille Tayla
- Hosaka was accompanied by "Lexie on a Stick," some sort of cardboard cutout of Fyfe.
2) Allison Danger def. Kellie Skater
- This was set up by a video taped message from Portia Perez, who was unable to be at the show live because she has swine flu. Danger came out to respond to Perez's video, calling her flu story bogus. Nicole Matthews came out to defend her honor, at which point Skater blindsided Danger to start the match.
3) The International Homewrecking Crew of Rain & Jetta def. Rachel Summerlyn & Daffney
- Daffney walked out on Summerlyn, presumably turning heel in the process.
4) Cat Power def. Ariel
- Daizee Haze was guest referee. No word on whether she actually played into the finish or just called it straight. I'm assuming it was the latter because doing heel turns in two consecutive matches wouldn't make sense.
5) Wesna Busic & Melanie Cruise def. Ashley Lane & Neveah
6) Cheerleader Melissa def. Nicole Matthews
- Word is this was another good outing for Matthews.
7) Sara Del Rey def. Jessie McKay
- Reportedly a near-squash.
8) LuFisto DCOR Amazing Kong in a Number One Contender's Match
- These two brawled all over the place, including taking it to the concession stand/kitchen area in the Eagles' Club.
9) Ayako Hamada def. Mercedes Martinez
- darkfire called it the promotion's MOTY.
10) MsChif def. Nikki Roxx to retain the SHIMMER Title
Taped for SHIMMER Volume 28
1) Ariel def. Malia Hosaka
- There were a lot of comedy spots during this match involving the previously mentioned cardboard cutout of Lexie Fyfe. It was ejected from ringside at one point for "hitting" referee Andy Long.
2) Melanie Cruise def. Kimberly Kash
- This was Kash's debut on a proper SHIMMER taping after doing several dark matches with them. It was a squash, however.
3) Ashley Lane & Neveah def. Sassy Stephie & Kacey Diamond
4) Nikki Roxx def. Wesna Busic
5) Rachel Summerlyn def. Daffney by DQ
- After the heel turn, Daffney was reportedly doing her TNA gimmick in SHIMMER. She was DQed when she had Summerlyn in the ropes and would let up on her attack. The two brawled after the match ended.
6) The International Homewrecking Crew of Rain & Jetta def. Jessie McKay & Tenille Tayla
7) Cheerleader Melissa def. Kellie Skater
8) Mercedes Martinez def. Cat Power
- Apparently not a squash as it might have been during the last tapings, with Cat being allowed to "hold her own."
9) Nicole Matthews def. Allison Danger
- Referee Laura Mattano had to be taken out during the match, and Daizee Haze ran in to replace her. Matthews used a belt-shot for the win without Daizee noticing. No word on whether they played up any Haze/Danger dissension as a result or whether this will play into something down the road.
10) Sara Del Rey def. Ayako Hamada
- Originally Del Rey got DQ'ed for using a chair, but the match was restarted as no disqualification and no count out. At one point Hamada did a moonsault while holding a chair. darkfire referred to it as the match of the night, the match of the year, and perhaps the best SHIMMER match of all time.
11) MsChif def. LuFisto & Amazing Kong in a three-way dance to retain the SHIMMER Title
- They did this elimination style, with LuFi getting knocked out first by a Kong powerbomb. It was down to MsChif and Kong, and 'Chif became the first person in the history of SHIMMER to pin Kong, beating her with two Desecrator DDTs and a super huricanrana.
Testo nascosto - clicca qui Here's my early report from the forum, with a full one coming soon:
What a fun night. Things started off badly as the doors opened ninty minutes late due to lighting issues. Basically, as it was explained to me by Dave, the regular lighting guy wasn't there, so that had to do it on their own. When they flipped the switch, only one of the five sets went on, so they had to rewire everything. Now during that process, they somehow broke one of the floresent lights above the ring, with glass shattering everywhere, so that had to be cleaned. And to top it off, the wiring they ended up with involved wires coming down from two of the lights, to the floor and up against the walls, as opposed to everything staying up in the ceiling. We had to be careful not to trip over the wires, and the lights were even knocked out during matches a few times.
To stall for time, several wrestlers, including Nikki Roxx, Kimberly Kash, Cheerleader Melissa, Joey Eastman, and Allison Danger came out to sign autographs and chat. There was a lot of fun stuff as well, many of which I video taped, which I'll get up soon.
A forth video camera was positioned in the northeast corner, but due to the dangling wire, it was rendered useless, so it was moved to the stage, with one camera being for closeups, and the other for wide shots.
I'll get a few report soon, but here's some other images to hold you over:
Spero si vedano le foto!
- Dio benedica HAMADA.
- Delusione per un match senza commento.
- NICOLE continua a kickare assi.
- Daizee wubbevole!
- Melissa & Daff troppo TNA.
EDIT: dimenticato un paio di cose:
- Cattina rulleggia.
- Non ho letto tutto, semplicemente sfogliato come al solito. [Modificato da ~ e u p h o r i a 09/11/2009 11:14] |
